‘Mehbooba busy with BJP for crown ceremony’
PDP’s silence on Geelani
Hurriyat Conference (G) Friday termed the silence of PDP over the arrest of Kashmiri scholar Prof Syed Abdur Rehman Geelani and the crackdown of the Delhi police over Kashmiri students as sorrowful.
In a statement Hurriyat (G) said at the time when the ‘communal BJP and the biased Indian media is charging the atmosphere to hang’ SAR Geelani and the other students the Afzal way, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti Sahiba is busy with BJP general secretary Ram Madhav in discussing the crown ceremony in the State of J&K.
Hurriyat (G) said PDP leader had although made her ‘ways to the power corridors by wailing over the funerals of the martyrs but now the real face of this party had exposed before the public and just like National Conference, this party too has fixed its goal to achieve the power of chair.’
Hurriyat (G) spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that to create justification for the government formation, the PDP wants to ‘befool’ the public by talking about the implementation of agenda of alliance while everybody knows that the ‘fascist’ rulers of India are never ever going to give any kind of relaxation to Kashmiris.
“It is just the magic of the words which is being used to find a new justification to come to power. Expecting any favour from New Delhi for Kashmiris is an impossible wish and it is just like that we are expecting an ‘apple from a thorny plant’. Our nation has a bitter experience of this from the past 68 years now,” Ayaz said adding Late Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah was the person who ‘kicked our nation into the lap of India and tried his best to appease Late Jawaharlal Nehru and the other Indian rulers.’
“He gained nothing except a title of ‘Nation Seller’ and the New Delhi in his very presence instead of giving anything, started plundering the natural resources of the state with both the hands and till his death he was not given the position and status which he would have deserved for his ‘services and loyalty’,” Ayaz added.
“Why would India relax its principles for PDP or why would Ram Madhav agree on anything which would benefit the Kashmiri people or which could restore their pride and honour,” questioned Ayaz.
Expressing apprehensions over SAR Geelani and the other Kashmiri students, Hurriyat Conference (G) said if NC and PDP like people would not have been available to New Delhi in Kashmir, neither Maqbool Bhat would had been killed nor would have Delhi hanged Afzal Guru for his ‘innocence’.
“These people act as the only link for India through which they continue their illegal control over Jammu & Kashmir.
Hurriyat (G) spokesman said Arnab Goswami, a news anchor of Times Now TV channel has started a ‘fanatic’ way of anchoring and the anchors of the other news channels have started following him to ‘beat drums against the Muslims’.
“This situation has completely exposed the democratic and secular claims of India. India is now gradually identifying itself as the most intolerant ‘Hindu Rashtra’ in making,” Hurriyat (G) spokesperson alleged.
